Healing Touch for Animals is a healing modality founded by Carol Komitor and is largely based on Healing Touch for humans. These techniques allow the animals to come into a more balanced state of being thus allowing the body to support healing.

As with Reiki, HTA techniques work on all levels of the body: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. While Reiki energy is typically directed to an area or part of the body, HTA can go one step further and focus or pinpoint a smaller area to work on. For example, if you brought your animal companion for a healing because of spinal or disc issues, I would apply Reiki to your pet's entire spinal system and then perform HTA techniques to isolate specific discs which may be causing an issue and direct energy to that particular disc. Like with any healing modality, they are complimentary of each other.
